GlamourGals welcomes Samantha Braunstein to the Advisory Board.
Samantha graduated with a B.A. from Cornell University and went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Currently, Samantha is an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP concentrating in restructuring, banking, and credit matters. She enjoys tennis, running, horse-back riding, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Carmel.
Samantha was introduced to GlamourGals through pro bono work through an event. "My work resulted in an opportunity to work and meet with the wonderful group of people that makes GlamourGals a success. After the event was over, I knew GlamourGals was a fantastic organization with which I had to continue my involvement," she says.
"I was initially attracted to GlamourGals' mission because I had recently spent a lot of time in senior and rehabilitation homes. Through this experience, I realized that many people in such institutions do not always have a network of regular visitors. I also began to understand that even small tasks, such as painting a patient’s nails or applying skin cream, can have a large impact. I love how GlamourGals provides the structure and organization to increase the flow of volunteers into senior homes in order to help with these simple, but often neglected, visits and services. It was an additional bonus to find out how GlamourGals can be just as beneficial for the volunteers," Samantha notes.
